Taylor University High Altitude Balloon Workshop

DATES: There will be two 2-day workshops on May 21-22 and August 4-5, 2008

GOAL: To train and facilitate universities to implement high-altitude balloon launches into undergraduate curriculum.

FUNDING: For each participating university there is a $200 total stipend to be distributed among the attendees by the university. There is a 4 person per university attendance limit.

NASA offers Mission PI Training Course

DATES: Initial course offering is planned for June 15-20, 2008 at a soon to be announced location near Washington DC. The course will subsequently be offered three or more times per year.

GOAL: Learn about the responsibilities of executing a mission with NASA.

FUNDING: Enrollment will be limited to approximately 35 participants per class offering. NASA will cover the cost of the course including all food and lodging, but not transportation.
