Assistant Campus Dean for Administrative Services

The University of Wisconsin Colleges Sheboygan campus invites applications for the position of Assistant Campus Dean – Administrative Services. The University of Wisconsin Colleges is composed of 13 campuses across the state that provide the first two years of a liberal arts general education and prepares students for transfer to baccalaureate granting campuses. The UW-Sheboygan campus is located in eastern Wisconsin less than an hour north of the Milwaukee metro area; with easy access to Chicago and Green Bay. The campus is nestled on 70 acres of rolling wooded hills just east of I-43 and close to the downtown Sheboygan area and Lake Michigan. UW-Sheboygan is a commuter campus with an enrollment of about 700, including full- and part-time students with a mix of traditional and returning adult students. Recent campus projects included equipping classrooms with updated technology and the opening of a new state-of-the-art science facility in 2004. Position Summary/Responsibilities: The Assistant Campus Dean - Administrative Services is an academic professional who serves as the campus chief business and administrative official. Under the program direction of the Campus Dean and Chief Executive Officer, the Assistant Campus Dean - Administrative Services is responsible for the planning and daily management of campus fiscal, bursary, facilities, procurement, personnel, payroll and benefits, safety and risk management, auxiliary, support, and technology programs. The Assistant Campus Dean - Administrative Services hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates the performance of six (6) direct report staff representing the following programs: business services, physical plant, auxiliary and support services, and instructional and institutional technology. Indirect reports (permanent, LTE and student employees) number approximately sixteen (16). A full position description is available upon request.

Qualifications: Master’s degree (MBA or Master’s in Business preferred) and 3-5 years of successful management/supervisory experience required; experience in higher education desirable. Candidates should have knowledge of budget development and fiscal management, facilities planning, and personnel management. Competency for systems technology and experience with, or ability to seek alternative funding sources valued. Candidates should have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, a commitment to collaborative decision-making, and an understanding of how to accomplish tasks within an extensive public system.

Salary and Benefits: Minimum salary is $62,854; final salary dependent upon experience and qualifications.
