Is WSCS part of the cable company?No. WSCS is not affiliated with Charter Communications or any other video provider. WSCS is operated by the City of Sheboygan, and our paid staff are city employees. The WSCS budget is funded by a portion of the VSP fee paid to the city by the video service provider(s) and is supplemented by advertising and contracted production revenue. Back to TopI live in Sheboygan Falls, why can I view WSCS programs?In the past, Sheboygan Falls residents were not able to watch (TV8) WSCS 'Falls government channel was on channel 8 in that community. With Charter's lauch of the digital Public Affairs Neighberhood customers in Sheboygan Falls, Kohler, Sheboygan and beyond can view WSCS programming on channel 990. Back to TopI love the music on the community calendar, what is it?The "Music Choice" channels available through the cable company, serve as the background music while the WSCS Community Calendar is shown. The "Jazz" channel, on Charter Digital Cable, is the current selection. Information about song titles, artists and recordings is provided by Music Choice see the on-screen guide for channel number. WSCS does not have track information or recordings. Back to TopCan I get a copy of the program schedule mailed to me?It is cost prohibitive for us to mail copies of the program schedule. However, a searchable schedule is available at guide.tv8wscs.com. Back to TopHow can I get a copy of a program I saw on WSCS?WSCS will gladly make copies of locally produced programs. Requests for programs can be made by completing the printable order form and following the directions. $20.00 (USD) per DVD or VHS copy includes duplication, tax and shipping charges. Replays of local events (sports, concerts, parades, etc.) typically run 3 times during the week following an event. You may purchase a copy using the printable order form. Back to TopHow can I get my organization's event on the Community Calendar?A single page (800x600) on the Community Calendar will run for one week at a cost of $5.00 (US). Information including: start/ end dates for ad, event name, date, time, location, contact person, telephone number, and payment should be sent to WSCS at least one week prior to the intended start of display. Information and/or jpg image files may be e-mailed to scott@tv8wscs.com.
