Annual Fundraising Events

The UW-Sheboygan Foundation sponsors three major annual campus fundraising events each year on (and off) the UW-S campus in an effort to raise additional funds to support students and the UW-Sheboygan campus as a whole.

• The Scholarship Fundraising Golf Outing will debut as a new Foundation fundraiser this spring on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Whistling Straits' Irish Course. All proceeds from the event, which will utilize a Better Ball format among foursomes, will be used to support new and existing scholarships for UW-Sheboygan students. Area businesses are encouraged to participate in the event by sponsoring foursomes and/or securing Hole Sponsorships to support the scholarship campaign and promote their business at the same time. A field of at least 100 golfers is expected to participate in the event, which begins at 10 a.m. with a shotgun start and concludes with a brat fry post-event reception at The Haven Bar and Grill. • Chicken & All That Jazz, which debuted in 1986, is the Foundation’s major fundraiser, attracting nearly 1,500 visitors to the campus each August. The day includes live Dixieland jazz music throughout the evening and a HUGE roasted chicken dinner, complete with fresh sweet corn and all the extras.  The 2008 event is set for August 13, 2008. Corporate tables are available for larger groups by reservation only. Support higher education AND let us plan your company picnic!

• The Wombat Classic 5K Run is a popular fall event among local runners and exercise enthusiasts. The event, held each November, attracts cross-country runners from all over the country and even around the state to run the 5K course that winds across the scenic 70-acre campus. A challenging course, the Wombat Classic allows runners to enjoy a run, get some fresh fall air and take in the breathtaking fall colors that dress the campuses many forested areas. All proceeds from the event support UW-Sheboygan Foundation student scholarships and other campus program needs. Click here to see a map of recent races.
