High school

Definition:  Graduates or GED holder. Applicants who have been out of high school for two or more years, or are 21 years and older should contact the Office of Student Services for clarification of their admission status.

Adult Students – 21 years and older

Definition:  Students that are 21 years of age and older.

Returning/Re-entry Students

 Definition:  Previously enrolled but not enrolled at UW Sheboygan or an UW System institution in prior semester.

Transfer Students

Definition:  Students who have attended another college and are in good standing.

Definition:  Students attending the UW Sheboygan on a Foreign Student (F1) Visa.

Home School

Definition:  Students who have completed their high school studies outside of the formal high school setting.

Auditors

Definition:  Students seeking no academic credit

Special Students   

Definition:  Non degree seeking; enrolled for six credits or less.

  • After special students earn 6 credits, they must complete UW Sheboygan application, pay the filing fee, take the UW System Placement Tests, and submit transcripts of high school and post secondary work.

High School Special Students

Definition:  High School Seniors or Juniors

A $35 fee must accompany the application of prospective freshman and transfer students from institutions outside the UW System. Special students do not pay the application fee unless they become degree candidates.
