
How To Apply
To be considered for admission, you must submit a University of Wisconsin System Application for Undergraduate Admission. You can obtain this application form from UW Sheboygan by picking-up the application at the Office of Student Services, or you can apply on line. The completed form and any required materials should be sent directly to the Office of Student Services, UW Sheboygan.
Type of Student Definitions
- New Freshman - Recent high school graduate or HSED/GED holder
- Returning Adult Student - Students entering UW-Sheboygan at 22 years of age or older
- Re-entry Students - Students previously enrolled at UW-Sheboygan but not enrolled at a UW Colleges campus during the prior semester.
- Transfer Students - (students with credits earned at other universities, technical colleges) Students who have attended another university or technical college and are in good academic standing.
- Special Students - Non-degree seeking students or those enrolled as "guest" students for six credits or less.
- High School Students - High school juniors or seniors who enter as special students or through the Youth Options Program.
- International Students - Students attending UW Sheboygan on a Foreign Student (F1) Visa
- Auditors - Students seeking no academic credit.
New Freshman
Submit the following to the Student Services Office:
- The University of Wisconsin System application for admission
- The $35 application fee
- ACT or SAT scores (if under 21 years of age)
- Official high school transcripts and/an official copy of your HSED/GED scores (if applicable) and official transcripts of any university or technical college coursework completed while in high school
Required High School Coursework:*
*Students who do not meet the minimum admission requirements may be asked to meet with the Assistant Campus Dean for Student Services to discuss their application.
4 English credits
3 Social Science credits
3 Mathematics credits (one year Algebra, one year Geometry, and one year higher math)
3 Natural science credits
4 Additional College Preparatory credits
Total: 17 Academic Credits Required for Admission
Returning Adult Student
Submit the following to the Student Services Office:
- The University of Wisconsin System application for admission
- The $35 application fee
- Official high school transcripts and/an official copy of your HSED/GED scores (if applicable) and official transcripts of any university or technical college coursework completed while in high school
- Contact the office of Student Services at (920) 459-6683 and request an appointment with our returning adult advisor, Pamela Fitzer, to explore your goals, review your background and experience, and determine the best educational start for the life you want.
More Information on Returning Adult Students
Re-entry Students
Submit the following to the Student Services Office:
- Complete a UW System application form (to update your file)
- Provide official transcripts from any college or university credits earned since attending UW-Sheboygan
- No application fee is required
- Contact Student Services to meet with an advisor to select and register for your classes.
Transfer Students
Submit the following to the Student Services Office:
- The University of Wisconsin System application for admission
- The $35 application fee (waived for students who have attended another University of Wisconsin System college)
- Official transcript from college attended
- Official high school transcripts if transferring with less than 30 earned credits.
Academic Standing
Students who wish to transfer must be in good academic standing at their previous college (at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average). If you are not in good academic standing, transfer to UW-Sheboygan is possible only by appealing to the Aids, Awards and Appeals Committee at UW-Sheboygan.

Special Students
Submit the following to the Student Services Office:
- The University of Wisconsin System application for admission.
- No fee required.
- No transcripts required.
Special students are limited to earning six credits.
Students who plan to earn more than six credits at UW-Sheboygan must apply as degree seeking students (see New Freshman, or Transfer Student Links). Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the Assistant Campus Dean for Student Services.
Special students are not eligible for financial aid
High School Students
Submit the following to the Student Services Office:
- The University of Wisconsin System application for admission ACT or SAT scores (if available)
- Official high school transcripts and a recommendation from your high school counselor
- No application fee required.

Auditors
Submit the following to the Student Services Office:
- The University of Wisconsin System application for admission
International Students
Submit the following to the Student Services office:
- The University of Wisconsin System application for admission
- The $35 application fee
- TOEFEL scores of at least 500
- Official high school or post secondary records
