Create your own fresh flower arrangement
Nothing says SPRING like FLOWERS! Celebrate this spring by making your own fresh flower arrangement for your home or Easter Dinner table. Register now for the UW-Sheboygan Center for Engagement Learning Spring/Easter Floral Workshop held on April 3 and enjoy your floral creation at your Easter gathering.
The workshop will take place on Tuesday, April 3 from 7-9 p.m. in Room 1202 of the Acuity Building at UW-Sheboygan.
Participants will select their own fresh flowers and receive step-by-step instruction on how to create a spring floral basket that will receive compliments and amaze all your family and friends. In addition, you will learn event designing tips for your home and dining table, ensuring your Easter entertaining will be extra special this year. Inspire your imagination! All supplies will be provided.
The workshop will be taught by Lisa Heun, the event/floral designer and owner of Floral Essence LLC. Heun has over 20 years of experience in the design field as an Interior Designer and Floral Designer specializing in event design, weddings, holiday décor, and much more. She has worked at several companies including Botanicals Floral Studio of Fond do Lac and Evolutions in Design of Wausau.
Heun earned her Bachelor’s in Interior Design from Mount Mary College in Milwaukee and continued her floral studies at Milwaukee School of Floral Design. She loves to share her passion through hands-on floral workshops and sharing design tips for making all your event celebrations successful. A $50 fee is required for the workshop.

Strengthen skills with Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Excel is not only a common spreadsheet program used in just about every workplace, it is also a spreadsheet program more computer owners are learning to use for compiling personal data at home.
Are you are interested in strengthening your skills with Microsoft Excel for the workplace and/or home? Register now for the UW-Sheboygan Center for Engagement Learning Microsoft Excel course this spring. The course will help you become more comfortable with this powerful spreadsheet program. This class will be offered Monday and Wednesday, April 2 & 4 from 8:30 a.m.-noon in Room 5001 of the Learning Resources Building.
In this course, you will learn to enter and manipulate data, save and retrieve work, use formulas and functions, create charts, print spreadsheets and much more. In addition, you will learn to create budgets and forecasts, manage lists of information and produce attractive graphs to summarize your data. A prerequisite for this course is Windows or a working knowledge of MS Office 2007.
The course will be taught by Cathy Lambries. Lambries has a B.A. in Business Education and a M.A. in Education. She has 34 years of experience teaching computer and business courses. A $129 fee is required for the course.

Selling on eBay, for Beginners
Making money on eBay doesn’t have to be trial and error; it is a skill that can be learned. If you are interested in selling items on eBay but are unsure where or how to begin, register now for the UW-Sheboygan Center for Engagement Learning Selling on eBay for Beginners course this month. Our instructors will share their enthusiasm and expertise and help you sell your own items on eBay.
In this three-week course, you will learn why PayPal account is important, discover how to price your item, take usable digital photographs and write effective descriptions. You will also cover some of the finer points of using eBay, such as closing a sale, the importance of shipping and why feedback will make or break you as a seller or buyer.
Students should be computer savvy and be familiar with how to use the Internet. Please register with eBay and PayPal prior to starting this course.
The course will be taught by Lisa Hurley and Lori Risse, both with more than 10 years’ experience as seasoned eBayers. It will take place on Tuesdays, April 10, 17, 24 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Room 5001 of the Learning Resources Building. A $75 fee is required for the course.

Test Prep Program for Pharmacy Technician Certification offered at UW-S
Are you planning to obtain a Pharmacy Technician Certification so you can begin your career in the pharmacy field? Would you like to prepare yourself for a successful result? Then register now for the UW-Sheboygan Center for Engagement Learning Test Prep Program Pharmacy Technician Certification course this spring.
This comprehensive 50-hour course will prepare students to enter the pharmacy field and take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board’s PTCB exam.
Technicians work in hospitals, home infusion pharmacies, community pharmacies and other health care settings, working under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. Course content includes medical terminology specific to the pharmacy, reading and interpreting prescriptions and defining drugs by generic and brand names. Students will learn dosage calculations, IV flow rates, drug compounding, dose conversions, dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control and billing reimbursement.
The prep course will be provided by Condensed Curriculum International, Inc. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 3-May 22 from 6-9:30 p.m. in Room 3102 of the Main Building. A $999 fee is required for the class which includes textbooks.

Learn how to use your new digital camera
Have you recently taken an interest in photography and purchased a new digital camera? Are you excited to learn more about the possibilities of digital photography? Then register now for the UW-Sheboygan Center for Engagement Learning Digital Photography course offered on Wednesdays, April 4, 11, 18, and 25 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in Room 5001 of the Learning Resources Building
The course will offer instruction on a camera’s basic features, as well as tips for photo composition to improve your image shooting skills.
This course will teach you the basics of downloading, editing, and printing. You also learn how to organize photos into files. It is requested that you bring your camera and owners’ guide to class and to pre-read the manual. Also some comfort with a computer is required.
The course will be taught by Keary Kautzer, Director of WSCS and accomplished photographer. A $59 fee is required for the course.

Classical Guitar instruction offered at UW-Sheboygan
Are you the owner of a classical guitar and unsure how to begin to learn to play it? Or are you fascinated by the classical guitar and considering getting one of your own and want to know the basics of playing the instrument? Register now for the UW-Sheboygan Center for Engagement Learning Introduction to Classical Guitar course.
The course will be offered on Tuesdays, April 3, 10, 17, 24; May 1, 8 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Room 2223 of the Main Building.
This is a beginner course where you will explore essential playing techniques of the classical guitar. Techniques include Arpeggio, apoyando, tirando, harmonics, legato and glissando. You will also be introduced to the works of several canonical composers from Spain, Brazil, Mexico and Cuba. No prior knowledge of the instrument is required, although students may bring their guitar to class.
The course will be taught by Mario Ciotola, native of Naples, Italy. Ciotola has lived in the United States for 10 years. He is a pastor at Oakbrook Community Church in Sheboygan and has degrees in Theology (England), Biblical Counseling (Indiana), and a diploma in Biblical Studies (England) he is also the President of the Club Italiano di Sheboygan A $79 fee is required for the course.
