Splash 10: En Plain Air! watercolor exhibit to open March 31

The Sheboygan community is invited to visit the University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan for its latest art exhibit, Splash 10: En Plein Air!, by students of James Michael. An opening reception will be held Thursday, March 31 from 5-7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Gallery. The public is invited to join the artists as they circulate and discuss their work.

Most of the exhibitors have long participated in the summer outdoor (en plein air) painting classes at various sites around Sheboygan. Michael has taught for nearly 30 years under the sponsorship of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center. New additions to the group are warmly welcomed, and are urged to call the Arts Center for information about these classes.

“It’s a great way to spend summer Saturdays and to improve your painting skills as you share your work with others,” Michael said. “You will be amazed with what these painters have achieved if you can join us at UW-Sheboygan Fine Arts Gallery opening night.”

The UW-Sheboygan Fine Arts Gallery is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Most of the paintings will be available for purchase. The exhibit will be on display until March 25.
