University Theatre announces Forbidden Broadway auditions for Sept. 17 and 18

University Theatre will hold auditions for its fall 2012 production, Forbidden Broadway, on Monday, September 17 and Tuesday, September 18 at 6 p.m. in the Fine Arts Theatre on the University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan campus.
Forbidden Broadway spoofs many of your favorite Broadway musicals, both old and new, including Annie, Wicked, Fiddler on the Roof, and Rent. Crowds will be laughing throughout the evening, enjoying some new -- and only sometimes crude --lyrics to many Broadway classics.
Performers are asked to prepare a song that shows their strengths in storytelling, comedy, and singing. Performers should also prepare a one- to two-minute comedic monologue that they may or may not be asked to present.
We are looking for performers who are willing to be bold, have fun and have a strong work ethic and good attitudes. Rehearsals begin on Tuesday, Sept. 25 with the show opening on November 1 and running two weekends into November. Rehearsals are usually held Monday-Thursday for three to four hours.
