Popular children’s author Avi to speak Oct. 17

Area residents and reading enthusiasts are invited to the University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan on Sunday, October 17 to hear critically-acclaimed children’s author, Avi, speak from 7 to 8 p.m. in the UW-Sheboygan Fine Arts Theater.

Avi, who is the author of 70 children’s books and the winner of the Newberry Medal, the Newberry Honor and the 2009 Beacon of Freedom Award, will discuss the writing process, the world of children’s literature and publishing and much more.
