Highland House to host UW-Sheboygan fundraising dinner April 7
All proceeds to support student scholarship campaign

Looking for a good reason to eat out? Fighting cabin fever? Wondering how you could make a difference for someone in need?

If any of the above sound familiar, then you should consider attending the UW-Sheboygan Foundation Fundraising Dinner & Social on Wednesday, April 7 at the Highland House Restaurant in Sheboygan.

The event, made possible through the generosity of the Highland House Restaurant and its vendors, will raise funds to support the University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan Foundation’s Scholarship Campaign efforts for UW-Sheboygan students.

The UW-Sheboygan Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for UW-Sheboygan student scholarships and campus improvements. Other annual fundraising events including Chicken & All That Jazz, the Wombat Classic 5K Run and the UW-Sheboygan Foundation Golf Outing.

This year, the event will celebrate the UW-Sheboygan campus’ 45th anniversary. The keynote speaker will be retired UW-Sheboygan Dean Barbara Losty, who served as dean from 1985 to 1991. A special presentation also will share information on the many recent endowments and memorial funds that have been established by area donors and businesses in the past year.

The event will feature an elegant dinner featuring a full appetizer buffet, a main course of stuffed tenderloin, chicken marsala, rice, sautéed vegetables, potato and a tempting dessert buffet. Beer and wine also will be provided to guests all evening. A cash bar for mixed drinks also will be available. The $50 ticket price is all inclusive except for cash bar items.

A drawing for several donated items will also be held during the evening, offering participants the chance to win UW-Sheboygan apparel, gift certificates and other valuable items.

Guests are encouraged to make this a night on the town with a purpose, since all proceeds will provide tuition assistance to local students in the form of scholarships.

“Each year, the UW-S Foundation awards more than $100,000 in scholarships to UW-Sheboygan students. Fundraisers like this one help make those awards possible,” said Carrie Hoppe, UW-Sheboygan Foundation executive director.

Dinner guests are asked to gather in the upper floor party room at the Highland House by 5:30 p.m. for cocktails and a diverse hot and cold appetizer buffet. Dinner will be served at approximately 6 p.m. with dessert and the evening program to follow at around 7 p.m. Festivities should be completed by 8 p.m.
